Overview
Communio Social lets you sign in with email, Google, or Facebook. If you used Facebook Login, we receive basic profile information (such as name and email) to create and operate your account. This page explains how to remove your account and delete your data from Communio Social.
What we delete
When you remove your account, we delete or anonymize:
- Your account profile (email, display name, handle, preferences)
- Sign-in identities linked to your account (including Facebook, if used)
- Forum posts, comments, feedback, and group content you created
- Groups you own, your group memberships, and notification data
Some information may be retained where required by law, for fraud prevention, or in encrypted backups for a limited period before automatic purge.
How to remove your account
Use this tutorial to permanently delete your account while signed in.
- Sign in via Log in.
- Open Account settings from the avatar menu → Settings.
- Scroll to Remove account and choose Remove account.
- Read what will be deleted, then continue to the confirmation step.
- Check I understand this permanently deletes my account and data, type REMOVE, and confirm.
- You are signed out immediately. Your account and associated data are deleted from our systems; sign-in will no longer work for that account.
If you cannot sign in, contact us through Feedback from the email on your account so we can verify ownership and assist manually.
Facebook Login users
Removing your Communio Social account deletes the data we store. To revoke our access to your Facebook profile, you can also remove the app in Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, select Communio Social, and choose Remove.
You may unlink Facebook without deleting your full account from Account settings if you only want to disconnect Facebook sign-in.
